This was a section in my solo, but I decided to ditch the solo. The book is too boring, and the author doesn't write well - except I enjoyed this chapter, so I reworked it for this collection.

General FYI:

The last portion - 100 years later - is really interesting, and of course way off base.

I wonder how much more true it would have been had the automobile not been invented.
As for weight, the lightest a bike on the Tour de France can be is 15 lbs, although they can physically make them lighter.
As for speed, many cyclists can go about 30 mph without a problem, but it takes a special bike and special cyclist to go 150 mph. The futurist must have underestimated the exponential growth of the force of wind resistance.

Hi Leighton, Thank you for your contribution of Sermon 1043 by Charles Haddon Spurgeon to volume 066!

You did correctly in posting the link here on this thread after you uploaded your recording to our metacordinator's (MC's) knotyouraveragejo's mailbox. Craig will PL the sermon for you, as he did your previous recording for volume 062.

A couple of minor details: When you upload, you do not need to write "mp.3" as part of the file name. The uploader will add the "mp.3" I think the confusion comes from the way my instructions were written (with the mp.3 shown). [I am going to correct this!] By adding the "mp.3" you ended up with a file name that reads "mp.3 mp.3" If my memory serves me, you had that problem in volume 062 also, and it won't catalog correctly that way. So you need to fix this.

Also, your file name has "snf061" instead of "snf066." This also needs to be corrected before we catalog.

Your volume is a little low, at 85.5 dB's. You should aim for 89 dB's.

Please let Craig proof listen your recording before you make corrections to the file name. That way, if there are any corrections to the text, you can fix everything at once.

Nicely read. A few errors noted

7:43 – 7:55 some repetition

13:14 The new birth as surely stamps us with the image of Christ - I heard stand us

15:00 The voice of God in the word has testified to us our Heavenly Father’s love -- you read dove

26:53 yet whatever belongs to Christ belongs to us - forgot second belongs

35:07 For ever with Christ at our head we shall be the nearest to the eternal throne you read he for we

I think it still conveys the idea, and the edit might be more jarring than the original, wrong word. So I think we'll just go with that.
