i found it unbelievable hard to find any german title with 13 in it - and being public domain.
maybe, we german speaking people fear the number more than the rest of the world..
also, some of the other keywords are just non-existant.

but at last, i found "auserlesene fabeln volume 13" ("selected fables volume 13"), fable "das glück und der traum" ("luck and dream").
so i hope this qualifies?

Publication date 1817

cheers,
Hi schrm, Your selection is most welcome, and we thank you for working hard to find something in German! :D I think it's quite possible that different cultures have different attitudes toward "13." I also think that having selections in the anniversary collection from LibriVoxers who record in languages other than English is a great reflection of the universal spirit of LibriVox.

hi,

thank you so much, sue :D

one hint: the fable is named correctly: "Das Glück und der Traum." (for copy-pasting with point and ü, without quotationmarks)
sorry for me not thinking of that in the first post

now i'm relieved, that i found this - and want to make this my priority recording for now.

cheers,

Thanks, schrm, for the update on the capitalization of the title! :) I was wondering about that.

In case anyone is still looking for something to read, the first story in this collection is titled "Thirteen" --
https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc2.ark:/13960/t3319tg6d;view=2up;seq=4

Also, just popping in to remind folks that I'll be starting to edit the song later this week, so if you want to join the chorus, there are still a few days remaining!

HEY FOLKS, Maria's 13th Anniversary Song is truly a creative masterpiece. :) I'TS SUPER EASY TO SING; :9: IT'S GOT FUN LYRICS; IT'S CELEBRATORY, UP BEAT, UPLIFTING. IT REALLY CAPTURES ALL THAT'S GREAT ABOUT LIBRIVOX. You don't need to be a professional singer by any means to enjoy this project. (My cat Homer agrees with me on that, for sure).

SO, PUT DOWN YOUR COFFEE CUP, GRAB YOUR MIC AND HOP OVER TO THE SONG; viewtopic.php?f=22&t=70678 This may very well be the last anniversary song we'll ever have. so you won't want to miss it! :birthday:

Honored to be able to take part in this for my second year, as last year's 12th anniversary project was one of my very first recordings here!
