Re: Javier Menteguiaga Voice Test #1

Here is the 'checker' program: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/

I use it for each of my recordings just to be sure I've got the technical needs met.

Re: Javier Menteguiaga Voice Test #1

Hi. I just went and uploaded a new test file https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test2_javiermenteguiaga.mp3 Hope this works better. Haha! Now the recording is 8dB too quiet. The hiss is gone, however, and I think you're good to go. In a bit, I'll point you to the 'checker' program so that you can t...

Re: Today's theoretical question

Well... Just how theoretical is this question, to everyone? Because in general, I do not advise operating grid-powered electronics while within hearing distance of a thunderstorm. That's not a good policy for keeping your electronics in working order, and don't ask me how I know! I should rem...

We would miss you.

Hahaha! Now I'm tempted to find something with a storm!

Re: Today's theoretical question

Although they were some early LV days recordings, I've heard some birds occasionally, so assuming thunderstorms are natural as well... why not? Free sound effects  If I recorded outside on my porch at 4:00 am, buy would you hear birds! I'm so happy it is close to spring. Spring in Wisconsin do...
