May I suggest that you make a temporary summary to attract a DPL? I am moving this to Readers Wanted in meantime.

Hi, I just started Ch 1 and the first line has a footnote that Steuben should be pronounced Stoy-ben. I have been pronouncing it Stew-ben. The town in Ohio is pronounced Stew-benville and the glassware is pronounced Stew-ben ware. I can go back and correct my pronunciations or pronounce it the "american" way. Let me know what you want as this is the beginning of a large book. I will change them if you want for consistency, no complaints. Rosie

Since this is early in the book recording I am more toward leaning yes. We should pronounce his name accurately, and have those small bits re-recorded for accuracy. I'll look into what is the best way to mention this to other volunteers that might come along.

Thank you.
