Just a quick update: I have recorded Brunnhilde for two of the parts, must get down to editing...
Cheers, Ava.

BrianFullen wrote: October 14th, 2023, 6:46 am Please note that in The First Act of the Valkyrie there are lines ascribed to SIEGFRIED that are to be delivered by SIEGMUND:
SIEGMUND [Embracing Sieglinde with passionate ardour.

Dear woman, that friend / Holds thee at last, / Both woman and sword are his. / Here in my breast / Burns hot the oath
That welds us twain into one. / For all that I sought / I see now in thee, / In thee all / That once failed me I find. / Thou wert despised, / My portion was pain; / I was an outlaw, / Dishonoured wert thou; / Sweet / revenge beckons, / Bids us be joyful; / I laugh / From sheer fulness of joy,
Holding thee, love, in my arms thus,
Feeling the beat of thy heart!
Thanks, Alan, for noticing this. Brian

PL notes

all good except for the following

at 13:06 you say "my sway is o'er" which is correct words but the down inflection at the end makes it sound like it's the end of the sentence and you're saying your sway is finished, whereas the sentence should run on and be "my sway is o'er bliss, not sorrow" (I added the comma for emphasis). You do splice the "bliss not sorrow in" but I still feel it changes the meaning.

at 20:53 the line "two lives now" is hard to hear the middle word - a little volume adjustment might be enough?

Thank you.

I've uploaded a revised https://librivox.org/uploads/redrun/nibleung_siegmund_valkyrie.mp3
Track length is now 22:36.38; it had been 22:36.36.
Changes were applied at 13:02 and 20:55.
Siegmund in The Valkyrie, section 7, is now marked ready for Spot PL.

I've uploaded a partial Twilight of the Gods Act 3 - needs Siegfried and Brunnhilde and some more Vassals would be cool - that currently runs for 23:17 and resides at https://librivox.org/uploads/redrun/niblung_13_wagner_128kb.mp3.

There is a duplicate here that can be previewed without stressing LV servers.

Revised https://librivox.org/uploads/redrun/niblung_13_wagner_128kb.mp3 by adding another Vassal voice (mine) to the mix; it now runs for 23:20 (a little longer for the line by the lone 'A Vassal').

If there's anyone monitoring these posts who might like to pitch in with lines for Vassals or Women or both, you are more than welcome to do so. These roles don't pay any guerdon but, hey, there's a wedding feast guaranteed to be fun for all and a hunt that's mostly fun, except for the part where Hagen stabs Siegfried in the back (spoiler alert) which kind of puts a damper on the affair.

Lines for Vassals and Women are only in Twilight Acts 2 & 3 which can be found here: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/49507

No experience necessary for vassalage; I'm not sure about womanhood.

Just happened to be passing… can’t remember if I’ve already done a bit of Women, but I’ll do an extra run for you. Things seems to be going well for you!

You did all the Women lines in the recording https://librivox.org/uploads/redrun/niblung_women_twilight.mp3 currently the Listen URL in section 74 of the MW. You are welcome to do more if you like, but the ones you did are fine, Cynth, and they are in the mix. Yes, things seem to be going well for me although I admit that's somewhat subjective. I hope all is well with you.

Here is Brunnhilde in Siegfried and the Twilight:

https://librivox.org/uploads/redrun/niblung_brunnhilde_siegfried.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/redrun/niblung_brunnhilde_twilight.mp3

And it only took her 6 months to get over this Siegfried guy and get her revenge...
(Sorry for the delay  )
Cheers, Ava.

Hi Brian

I can’t find the posting for 31 (narrator’s section for Twilight) so am mentioning here that I’ve marked it PL OK.
