I know I know  It's not public domain and won't be for a while, but the Book Thief has always been one of my favorites for books and movies.

Same for the Chronicles of Narnia.

Okay onto the public domain ones!

Little women
A Room With a View
Five Children and It
Charlotte's Web

There's a few more I can't think of but those are my top 4 for sure.

Which film adapation of Little Women? The one I like (with Timothée Chalamet), or another adapation?

I can't say it's a favorite, but I do like the 2015 film adaptation of Madame Bovary starring Mia Wasikowska and Ezra Miller.

I recently watched the Scarlet Pimpernel on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpBkJ0Xb6ME) - 100% recommend. Jane Seymour is lovely; the acting is great - will love conquer all?

A film that's in the public domain itself!

The 1930 film adaptation of All Quiet on the Western Front is a classic; and although I can't say it's a favorite, I do like the 1981 film version of Lady Chatterlay's Lover
