For the next project I was thinking of the Carlyle translation of Goethe's Wilhelm Meister Apprenticeship and Travels. There seem to be only excerpts on LV at this stage.

Sections 22 and 23 are PL OK.
Go for it. Very few people on here are willing to take on Carlyle, but I'm game if you are.

23.48-23.52, bottom half p 349
Amaury himself professed to have learned what he taught from the Epistles of St. Paul [heard John]…

I’m not an expert on this subject. Is it definitely St. Paul?

I don’t think this is your usual method, but if it is St. Paul and you want to try patching in from existing material there is a St. Paul at 25.56.

General knowledge round:
Stress on the first syllable – I think I might heard it on the second

There’s no audio clip for this, but if you click through to ‘cherub’ to listen and compare the IPA it’s possible to work round it

If there is a chance/time to check, could I please double check that the summary has updated? I'm seeing a second 'but':
'Plotinus, but but precedes'
