A friend of Marie-Antoinette (Lady Atkyns), by Frédéric Barbey, translated by Unknown
Charlotte Atkyns (née Walpole) was an English actress. She was widowed while still in her 20s, and became an agent in the French Revolution, notably for her attempts in rescuing the members of the former royal family of France from imprisonment. Introduction by Victorien Sardou of the French Academy.
The language and ideas in this book reflect the period in which it was written. Librivox does not censor works recorded. Some readers and listeners may be offended.

I have assigned that section to you, but please be aware that it is a very long chapter. As this is your first recording, you may wish to “cut your teeth” on something more manageable. This claim will be held for two months, so you have plenty of time.
Please ask if you have questions.

That is an excellent point. May I please swap to Chapter 5: The Mystery of the Temple (continued)? Once I’ve got a recording under my belt I can reconsider Chapter 1.

Of course… provided no one else has claimed it in the meantime.

Thank you.

We don’t ask for perfection on pronunciation, just “understandable “

Hello! May I please have sections 7 and 8? And, should I plan to split the chapter at a natural point somewhere close to the middle?
Cheers,
Claire

That sounds good--otherwise about half and half.
