Hi all. I have come across an odd one: how do we, as readers, deal with footnotes? I would imagine this is not a problem in non fiction, but how do we approach it in fiction?
Many thanks for any help with this question.

Hi Andy! Here's the bit about footnotes in the wiki: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=English_Pronunciation_Guides#Footnotes
I think it refers to non-fiction footnotes, but it should work for fiction too.
Firstly, it's up to you to choose whether to include the footnotes or not (unless the BC of a group project has given specific instructions).
In fiction maybe they don't add to the plot as they add information in non fiction, and even disturb the train of action, so maybe they are more skippable.
It also depends on the footnote; it might work to just read it incorporated in the text using a 'footnote' voice.
