I am not going to be able to get section 24 finished today which is the two month date. Could I please get an extension on it (my recent medical issues have impacted my recording process)? It is all recorded, it is going to take me a little time to get it edited. It has been much easier for me to PL recordings recently. I hate to ask, but you get the honor of being my first extension request. :)

Thanks,

M
Not a worry in the world!
Please take your time. I appreciate all that you do. :9:

My short trip to deal with some urgent things had to be extended. I'm with out microphone. I feel crippled.
Thank you. I know how you feel. I'm off to Iowa in a week and will be microphoneless (like my word?) too.

I appreciate your patience.

brandonbrinkley wrote: February 4th, 2024, 12:01 am Hi Larry, just in case you didn't see it, I responded to your personal message. Short version: I'm shooting to wrap up this upcoming week.

Thanks!
Brandon
Quick update: I recorded again at lunch yesterday and today. I now have two recordings I'm happy with, just in case I have to mix 'n' match sections in edit. If all goes well, I can have that edited down and submitted tomorrow.
Sounds good
Relax and enjoy!
Another update: I got called into the office yesterday, so I edited today. The rough edits reduced the overall recording from 54 minutes to about 32, and I'm about 25% finished with the fine-grained edits.

Chapter 6 (Fenelon) is done. Sorry it took so long. Also, it seems like the Librivox domain has had some issues lately.

Thank you so much!
Yes, I got back from a two-week time away, without microphone, and logged in yesterday only to find the site down. Anyway, I've got this in my PL queue but I'm quite backed up from that unexpected trip, but I'll get to it as soon as I can. Stay tuned for your report.

Thank you for an excellent reading of this chapter!

The only minor change to be made is in the intro.
The "read by (your name) should appear either at the beginning or the end, but not both. So, just delete one or the other and you'll be fine. Upload again under the same file name, post the link again with the new length.

I hope we'll hear a lot more of your voice here on LibriVox in the days and years to come. :D

That's an easy edit. I usually record/edit on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but I might could sneak this one in one evening.

Only one small detail. Could you clip out "End of Chapter 24" at 39:10? It is confusing to have it in there. Just a pause and then the hymn is fine.

Optional: At the beginning, the Pronunciation of Thomas A' Kempis is usually pronounced with the A' as in "father."

Thanks for taking this long section!

I wasn't sure whether to put that in there or not but figured it was easier to remove. Consider it done.
Also changed the "A" in three locations: 0:31, 1:04, and 1:14

I'll take on the section on the Salvation Army guy if you'd like, Section 23.
