Dear Steve, This section made me laugh especially the part where Claudia cautions Hans from using disconnected sentences and Hans calls her on it with respect to Peeperkorn! There is just one tiny edit in this Section 34:

14:55 should by "You are just talking"; I heard "We are just talking"
Best,
Christine

I found another correct take so the revision was very straightforward!

Dear Christine
Hope all is well with you!
Here is section 35 (23.32), and a bit of a crisis in young Hans Castorp's love life...

Take your time Christine! Note that the next three sections after 35 are likely to be a little shorter, I am not sure if this makes a huge difference to the PL work, but 'every little helps' as they say!

Hi Steve, Section 35 is PL ok. You presented the ending of this section so poingnantly that I had to read ahead a little! 8-) Thanks so much for continuing on with this. Absolutely no one could voice Mann's work better!
Best,
Christine

You are very kind, Christine! So glad you are drawn in by the narration, not the easiest book to journey through, though of course there are so many treasures along the way.

Hi Steve, It's a bright sunny day here! Yay! Might even dry some clothes on my clothes line. :D With regard to this book you must feel like "The Little Engine that Could" Great job on Section 36. It is PL ok.

I think the train just about got there? And so will I (I hope). Thanks as always. Here it's back to grey rain, such is the UK.
