Dear Christine,
Section 24, at 23.49 - Phew! Naphta in full flight so this was a bit of a cliff-face to do.

Hi Steve, Looking forward to it. Have a couple in line just before this though.
Have a great day! Snowstorm that didn't fully materialize here in North Eastern Massachusetts.

Section 24: Always Perfection! PL ok. My dad was a Mason, Shriner Clown and member of Scottish Rite. Interesting.

Thank you Christine! Phew again! - glad that section is over, it did not feel like perfection to do it!! And now in fifty or so pages a new character looms (Peeperkorn) and I have to start thinking of his voice, an eccentric like Naphta, but important not to overplay these characters and I am now exploring ways of making it somehow a whisper....
Onwards!!

Dear Christine,
Here is section 25 at 22.45, yet more of Naphta and Setembrini, though mercifully Naphta's verbocity is here in the form of reported speech.....

Hi Steve, Section 25 is PL ok. I don't like how Setembrini keeps telling our hero that he knows nothing. Although he does follow it up with the carrot that Hans has potential.
Best,
Christine

You will be pleased I think to learn that we are back with our young soldier Joachim in the next section. I welcomed him like a long lost friend when I saw his name at last on the page!

Hello again Christine!
Here is section 26 (20.12) and the return of Joachim toward the centre of the stage (after a final round of verbal duelling by S and N). At last I say!
