If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

OK, your MW is ready for you! I put a ~ in the subject line to let people know that we need a DPL, unless you have someone already lined up? Let me know. If not, then we will wait here a day or two to see if we can pick one up.

Sorry about the delay on this one! I married an audio engineer, and when I told him I wanted to return to recording he said he wanted to set me up with professional level software and equipment, and I do appreciate it, but I am having a heck of a time learning how to use it. I know he's going to come and show me again and, you know, he makes it look so easy. It's not.

That actually sounds pretty normal. My husband is the exactly the same with scuba diving.

Don't worry about the delay. I am managing to keep myself busy.

Ha! Finally got the first chapter done. It's been a few years since I've recorded or uploaded anything, so please let me know what I goofed up.

You did a terrific job with the reading. Loved the voices, especially the accent of Mr. Reed. There a a couple of simple changes to make to meet LibriVox specs and then this should be PL OK.

1. Filename should be: comeoutofthekitchen_01_miller_128kb
2. Volume needs to be reduced by at least 1 dB but ideally by about 4 dB to get near the ideal of 89 dB. Allowable range is 86-92 dB.
3. You also need to provide the length of the recording in mm:ss.

Should post file in the MW when completed and updated the status in the far right column. I put this one in.

Looking forward to more to learn the mystery of those servants. :)

Thanks,

Thank you M! I forgot all about that pesky MW. I reduced the volume on Chap 1 so hopefully it's OK.
Here's Chapter 2: https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/comeoutofthekitchen_02_miller.mp3

This is really chapter 3. :)

I hope you didn't copy over chapter 2 and that you still have it available to post. Anyway, I am listening to chapter 3 now, and will let you know of any changes needed.

Thanks,

Chapter 1 is PL OK.

I've only got partway through chapter 3 as it will take some time as it needs a bit of editing.

Thanks,

Oh my gosh I must have uploaded the wrong chapter - that should be chapter 2. Please stop there until I figure out what I did.
