Lawrence certainly had a high opinion of himself!

Cheers,
Winnifred

Yes, but what happens after "What, is that the Venus de Milo?"!
Word perfect recording so far, but only about 11 minutes long...

Wow. Sorry about the cliffhanger. I'm not sure how that happened. Running it through Checker is always my last step, and that's where I get the length. But when I look at my saved .mp3 file again, sure enough, it's only 11 1/2 minutes now.

Fortunately, the .aup3 file is fine. My Audacity has been doing odd things ever since I upgraded the operating system on my MacBook (the Audacity folks are working on a fix, as it's affecting all Mac users). I'll blame it on that.

Spoiler alert: After "What, is that the Venus de Milo?" it's either "And he turns his back on the lady" or "--come on!" depending on which instance of that phrase it is.

Here's the complete story: https://librivox.org/uploads/kazbek/classicamerican_04_lawrence_128kb.mp3 (27:16)

Cheers,
Winnifred

Do blame it on that; upgrades have ruined many of my days.

Would it be possible to extend the deadline for my section (sec 10) to next Wednesday, a week from today? I'm making progress but would like more time to get the recording where it should be.

Thank you,
