I am interested in participating in this project. Can we read individual tricks from Magic; stage illusions and scientific diversions, edited by Albert A. Hopkins? There are some good tricks in there with entertaining descriptions that are under 15 minutes, but I’m not sure if it’s OK to read parts of chapters.

Your time begins after you submit a file, and I'd prefer you to attend to any PL Notes within 2 weeks, especially if the project is full and about to catalog.

I’m including a link to the book below. I did a podcast episode last year in which I read descriptions of a few of my favorite tricks from it. I wasn’t sure if we could do the same type of thing here…any feedback from the MC is much appreciated!
I think it might work, unless the trick can only be comprehended by looking at the picture. I'd say something like "5 tricks from Book Title ..... by ........ , Published 19xx . . . . Chapter X trick Chapter y trick Chapter z. The preface could also be interesting.

Thank you, this is helpful! I will look for some good tricks over the next few days that are understandable from the description (& that don’t mention illustrations or engravings), & will probably record next weekend.

The Magic Shop is over 20 minutes in length (based on other Librivox recordings of this story). The Sea King's word count is 3088 , which read at a fairly rapid clip, would exceed 18 minutes. Otherwise, these stories would be fine. The do fit the Magic theme. Please keep looking.
