First of all a confession that I have been a complete goose. I spent an hour looking for Quincy M.D on the Internet Archive. I got things like Quincy Adams. But no 70s TV show that starred Jack Klugman. Oh! I needed Quincy M.E ! That is the key to unlock the full Moog TV theme.
Anyway I also looked for the earliest TV show that I saw on TV: Project UFO, or as it was called in my Antipodean land, Project Bluebook. Now being able to pause the archived shows, I see a lot more. For instance I saw an Easter egg of a company name similar to Shattner. It was obviously a play on William Shattner and Star Trek

p.s the 70s was the last decade of "slow-paced TV". Even action cop shows were slower. It shows how human patience has decreased.

"I've got a secret" with the car built in 1891. Yep folks, NOT 1991, 1891. Radio and power steering not included.

Both UK live action Gerry Anderson shows, but no.
The one with purple wigs and silver string vests was just called UFO, and it had a shadowy government organization protecting the world from alien invasion. Space 1999 had everyone wearing fashionable polyester slacks and tops all in shades of sludgy light brown. They were all trapped on a moon base after the moon was blasted from orbit because the nuclear waste dump on the dark side exploded.

I read a lot of TV tie in books. I read all the Space 1999 TV Tie in books. But I had never watched a single episode!CliveCatterall wrote: ↑August 12th, 2023, 2:18 amBoth UK live action Gerry Anderson shows, but no.

The same with a lot of early Doctor Who. Terence Dicks was of course awesome as a TV Tie in writer.
I have read a few of the Star Trek TV tie in books. But I did not like them.
UFO I am not familiar with; I need to find it on IA
