Hi, I was just letting to know I just went ahead and marked section 18 as ready for PL:

I had asked the user to fix the file name and they basically went MIA back in January, so let's see how they did with this one (I can get jo to fix the filename if the rest of it is ok) and I'll orphan section 19 to see if we can get this project finished up soon.

There are numerous issues with this recording. The audio quality is not great, with the volume dropping out abruptly at several points and a fairly distracting background noise. There are also several misread words throughout, such as "appealing" for "appalling," "skewed" for "shrewd," "astral" for "ancestral," etc. If it were only once or twice, or if there were fewer issues in general, I'd call it acceptable. As it is, I'd say it's riding the borderline of acceptable or not, and since this reader is MIA, we may want to scrap it and start over. I will let you make the final call though. You may want to have a sample listen for yourself.

The one quick and easy fix is at 2:29. There is a repeat of "chosen by his superiors to keep his eyes open as a foreign attache in our..."

Yea, listening to it, I don't think it's salvageable. I just went through a similar issue with another project and had to scrap that one too... Unfortunate but I'd rather not delay this one any longer.

Add about a half a second of silence at the beginning.

I am still hearing the same issues with section 19 that I noted before. It seems to be the same file.
