Greetings -

Three sections have been added to the roster of PL OK offerings.

Sections 4 and 9 by AudioCook and Section 19 by iBeScotty are fine as they are. Nice job, gentleman.

Greetings -

Notes on Section 20:

You read a bit too much with the section between 7:53 and 8:11 not needed.

The silent period at the end of the recording needs to be trimmed to five seconds.

Other than those two things, a nice job of reading. Make those corrections and it will definitely be PL OK.

Let's hear more from you soon.

'Buy more Whiz Bangs' pitch removed & a couple seconds removed from ending silence. The new length is 8:09.

Can anyone explain to me why the line 'Williams Purple Cow' is in there?

Greetings -

In the early 1900's, The Purple Cow was the student newspaper of Williams College in Massachusetts.

The Purple Cow was also the Mascot of Williams College, which I didn't know.

Originally from the poem by Gelett Burgess,first published in 1895.

The Purple Cow by Gelett Burgess

I never saw a Purple Cow,
I never hope to see one;
But I can tell you, anyhow,
I'd rather see than be one.

I remember this from my High School English class.
It got so popular and bandied about, the he published this poem in the last issue of his school paper:

Ah, yes, I wrote the "Purple Cow"—
I'm Sorry, now, I wrote it;
But I can tell you Anyhow
I'll Kill you if you Quote it!

That was not heeded, of course.

Where he got the idea of a purple cow, I don't know.
It may have been original with hime.
