I have uploaded Chapter 2, I used a "without" from another sentence, hopefully it sounds smooth enough.

It sounds perfectly natural. Chapter 2 is now PL OK.

0:42 missing line "cried the purser, coming round at this critical moment to collect the fares, and holding out his hand in anticipation."
4:29 phrase sounds cut-off "where the cliffs were of a different geological formation"
5:15 word substitution "carry some specimens back to the Grange" read as species.
6:07 phrase sounds cut-off "and investigating such a number of species, that the other girls began"
13:50 missing line "she cried, shaking them eagerly."
missing "End of Chapter 6"

this is optional, at 7:43 the word "sang-froid" has French roots and it's best pronounced as "san-frwa"

at 15:07, missing "English communication"
