The Trevor Case, by Natalie Sumner Lincoln (1881 - 1935)

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-trevor-case-by-natalie-sumner-lincoln/

The nation's capital was astir at the untimely and curious death of the young wife of the Attorney General, Edmund Trevor. She had obviously been murdered, and as a matter of importance, it didn't take long for prosecutors to locate, indict, and convict a suspect who had the means, the motive, and the opportunity. The evidence may have been largely circumstantial, but the court of public opinion appeared to be content and willing to close the matter. But not everyone was satisfied with the outcome. There were pieces that didn't add up. The course of the ensuing investigation would lead in many directions, possibly implicating some powerful Washingtonians, requiring detectives and investigative reporters to tread very cautiously. Will they be able to solve the Trevor case? (Summary by Roger Melin)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Thank you for the kind words.
As chapter 1 was so short, now we find that chapter 2 has also been uploaded and posted.
I hope to assemble a summary for the project soon, but don't watch the clock (or the calendar).

Thanks! :D
