The Discoverie of Witchcraft, by Reginald Scot (1538 - 1599)
Scot believed that witchcraft, as practised in Elizabethan England, was a sort of stagecraft. In this book he debunks the tricks of practitioners of his time. (Summary by Timothy Ferguson)

If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi, I'm using the Brindley Nicholson facsimile because it copies the original (even the spelling mistakes) but is set in a legible font (not black letter) and uses the modern s, i, j, v and u, which makes it remarkably simpler to read. :)

The epistle!

Oh, please be aware that Scot is an anti-Semite, loathes Catholics and has weird ideas about women. I'll put a trigger warning in the summary before we are done.

Honestly, I am not surprised that he has some offensive viewpoints. A lot of authors in the past did.

The epistle is PL OK
