The sonnets are numbered, do you just want me to read the number or say "sonnet #" for each one?
Good question.

For this one, I think just read the number before each one, but not "sonnet," or "number."

Thanks for asking.

Here is section 106

(29:06) 89.1 dB
Glad to mark this PL OK. Who knows about the redundancy? :hmm:

Just for future reference, the poet Yeats, is pronounced rhyming with "gates."

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your taking these three sections!
They aren't the most thrilling things to read, and you have rendered them so well.

Oh! Thanks so much for letting me know. My science background is showing  I'd like to fix Yeats. Is that OK? Are there any other names to be fixed while I'm at it?

None that jumped out at me.
Pronunciation is not a part of Standard PL, so this is entirely up to you.

Well, I was glad when someone set me straight about the English poet, William Cowper. Seems it is pronounced Cooper. Yikes! I had that one wrong for a long time, telling people about my treasured volume of COW-per' poems.

Now I know two - Yeats and Cowper - that I thought were too obvious to look up! Life is full of surprises

Mr. Yeats turns up in 2 sections, so I've fixed both

Here is the new and improved section 104. Yeats occurs twice (that I found, anyway) at 16:00 and 17:02

Here is the new and improved section 106. He occurs four times at 2:23, 18:30, 18:46 and 18:57

Since starting LV last April, I've tried to choose a wide variety of types and topics of projects and have found that there is something to learn from each one. These particular sections gave me a good sense of the academic world associated with poets and their poetry, of which I previously knew nothing. I hope others who are also unfamiliar with poetry from the point of view of brief academic criticism may find these sections of interest. That said, I have to admit that at first blush, it all seemed like a whole lot of fine print and my motivation for reading these was to move the project along. But, in fact, it was pleasant reading. And your encouragement was very helpful :) I joked with my husband about the vast number of names I needed to look up - 32 for section 106 - and I still missed Yeats!

First, I've listened to these and these are flawless corrections. I've very impressed with that.

Yes, there is so much to learn here with LibriVox. I've listened to and read things completely out of the realm of things I would normally encounter. How about a serious book about the canals of Mars? Since so much of our PD material represents knowledge and attitudes of centuries gone by, we find a lot of fascinating stuff. Poetry? My horizons have broadened tremendously. I've been enriched in so many ways by LibriVox!

I'm glad you enjoyed these sections!
