Hi Jo,

Sorry!

Good to know.

project generator - error message:

Code: Select all

Diese Seite funktioniert nicht
librivox.org kann diese Anfrage momentan nicht verarbeiten.
HTTP ERROR 500
used system: lubuntu, google chrome
problem occured while preparing the collection of short prose in german
i used the german version of the generator template, filled in the blank fields, clicked away author and translator (otherwise, they are required fields), clicked on generate code, and got to this message. this happened 4 times.
what i was reading, your recommendation is to leave author fields "empty" - which are required fields, but can be clicked away. so now, i don't know what to do.

*trying advice from rapunzelina

Hi wolfi! Sorry, I didn't see you had posted here too. Here's my message from the other thread:

Just thought I'd add, since I'm assuming this is a German project, and there might be umlauts: if there are any umlauts in the title, or any other special characters, remove them to generate the template, and then the MC can add them back.

Another possibility that causes this error message is when using anything other than numbers in dates fields, like publication year. If unknown, leave blank.

But yes, the most common cause is a new author.

PS who is the author you are trying to add?
And the translator?

Maybe they'll need to be entered in the database.
