I know that before a book can become available to hear, it has to be proof listened completely and it has to have a cover and a catalog number, but once it has all those things is it ready to be heard? How can we know if a book we have worked on is available for the public to hear?

It doesn't need the cover before it's ready to hear - at least, not to listen to off our site.

When the MC posts the message, "This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page:" with a link, then it's ready.

They post it in the project thread - both in the first post and as a separate post. So watch the project thread for that message.

They also move it to the Completed Projects forum, so you can look in there to see if it has been moved there.

Various apps and YouTube and stuff, the project may not become available until it has a cover. We don't advertise when it gets a cover (aside from it showing up on the catalog page and at Archive), and we don't control how fast apps and YouTube get updated with the new projects.
