Whoops, a delay: I now have a friend turning up on Monday for a week. I'm tidying up today, and will able to do only minimal recording and editing, and attendance on-site at Librivox til next weekend.

Oh well, I suppose life has to go on.

Can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to this one! Visitors certainly can slow things down... we have guests for a whole months, and whilst it is enjoyable, one just never has the same amount of time!

Whenever you can get it ready, it will be a pleasure to listen to it.

... but it still feels strange saying things that should definitely be Southern US, in London english.

By the way, where would the emphasis be in "Gallipolis", Ohio?

hmm... "Gallipolis", Ohio ... gal-ih-POLICE so says: http://www.scrippsjschool.org/pronunciation/ ... but I'd be more apt to pronounce it: gal-IH-po-lis

oh, and btw Michigan is MISH-ih-gin (hard "g" as in get) *grins* .... but I'm not picking on you, because I am in the middle of slaughtering a bunch of French names in Phantom of the Opera.

Gal-IH-pol-iss is what I was guessing, but if your town names are anything like some of the english ones, it could have been Griss, or Glips ... or something stranger.

I'll watch out for MISH-ih-gin in later stories. Surely I have o-HI-o right?

All now recorded. I'm just finishing my editing. xan has offered to tighten up the editing a little (... a lot?), so I'm not sure when it'll be released for an audience-check.

I'm putting all sections in the Editors Needed thread now, but I'm hoping the sound quality will be tweaked in the final version.

Thanks, Betsie. He's an easy read; with variable moods and textures to keep the work interesting ... oh, and his stories generally don't have too many characters in them, so voicing's not too much of a problem.
