I haven't done those edits requested for the prior sections yet because they were on a computer that might have gotten a virus so I want to scan the files before transferring them and it's just easier to make new recordings for other sections then to go through that rigmarole. I'll get to them eventually though.

As I listened to Maimonides expound his own view (that Providence extends -- conveniently -- to man, but not to animals), I grew increasingly disappointed because it seemed unsupported; but then, there he goes, acknowledging the objection and working through it! Amazing!

Chapter 17 PL notes: end silence (6.17 secs) should be trimmed to closer to 5 seconds.

at 27:01, I heard "Ibidem, chapter 8, verse 5" but the text has "chapter 8, verse 8."

at 27:41, I heard "Job, chapter 34, verse 21;: text has "chapter 32, verse 21."

Sorry I should have mentioned that those 2 bible verses were incorrect in the text and have been corrected in the reading (which you noticed)

The theory of Maimonides that G-d doesn't cause the wind that sinks the ship but does cause the desire in the humans to board the doomed ship is very thought provoking.
