I'm having computer fan troubles. Every time I try to record, I can only get a few sentences in before the fan kicks into high gear. It seems to be specifically connected with Audacity - when I stop recording, it settles down almost at once.

Ouch. I've had blank recording before but never more than a few minutes and that was bad enough. I cannot imagine losing 40 minutes.

No rush. I'm just uploading as I go. I may not have much time for the next few weeks. I've given the page numbers of the text for each recording.

I found the mic problem, and sorted it, but I can't get the 40 minutes back. Ho hum!
