Thank you for your very detailed feedback jmac698. There is a lot to digest here but very useful feedback. I just started this last week and the learning curb is pretty steep. You obviously know what you are talking about. I am going to keep your post and try to incorporate some of the technical recommendations as I go. I don't feel qualified yet to provide suggestions for you but I hope I might be able to do this once I am more experienced. Thanks again and I welcome any feedback you might provide again in the future.

Though it may sound that way, I was referring to things that were just a few clicks if you knew what they were There's lots of guides here in the Librivox wiki, and you can always ask for help. For now, we're grateful to you for lending a voice and you can just focus on your performance
As for not being qualified, there is no such thing - any listener is qualified! My friends were, certainly you would be
I would also like to hear any comments anyone has on my chapter. I'm curious what things people may notice.
The feedback I've gotten so far, is
-Listeners like the use of different voices. The most distinct voice was the deep, gravelly Hurd Applegate. The other voices were not as unique to each other, so this could be improved.
-They liked the pacing and flow.
-There were a few lines near the start which could use more expression.
-They thought the pronunciation was clear.
-They felt like I had a Canadian accent.
-People seem to like my voice, enough that they can listen to it.
-I had enough expression that it wasn't boring to listen to.
