I would also like to hear any comments anyone has on my chapter. I'm curious what things people may notice.
The feedback I've gotten so far, is
-Listeners like the use of different voices. The most distinct voice was the deep, gravelly Hurd Applegate. The other voices were not as unique to each other, so this could be improved.
-They liked the pacing and flow.
-There were a few lines near the start which could use more expression.
-They thought the pronunciation was clear.
-They felt like I had a Canadian accent.
-People seem to like my voice, enough that they can listen to it.
-I had enough expression that it wasn't boring to listen to.
Hi,

Please no requesting others to download a file unless they are PL or BC. Please see the reminder in the first post.

EDIT: NVM. I'm in Canada. I don't think I can do this if I'm reading it right. My apologies.
Hi,

It is a little unclear if this is PD in Canada or not. Going by author date, it would not be. However, it wasn't know who the ghost writer was until more recent years.

Fadedpages, which is the Canadian version of Project Gutenberg, has these as PD in Canada. Personally I would be inclined to go by what they have, but I will let it to you to decide if you want to proceed with your claim or not.

Hey, if it’s on the up and up, I’m happy to claim the two chapters. I just didn’t want to step on any toes.

Sorry, I think that was me. I mis-clicked thinking it was a link in another browser window. Won’t happen again. :|

Hello!

Here are sections 20 and 21:

20 "Dire Threats" clocks in at 7 minutes 40 seconds and is here:
https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/houseoncliff_20_dixon_128kb.mp3

21 "Quick Work" clocks in at 9 minutes 58 seconds and is here:
https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/houseoncliff_21_dixon_128kb.mp3

Hopefully, these will be at least passable. Please let me know if they're OK. :)

If they are, and you feel me worthy, I'll also take on 14 and 15, assuming they're still available. That was fun. :)

EDIT: I see we're limited to three for the time being. In that case, I'll only request 14. Thanks!
