The House on the Cliff, by Franklin W. Dixon (1902 - 1977)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-house-on-the-cliff-by-franklin-w-dixon-2/

Volunteers outside the USA: Franklin W. Dixon died in 1977. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 70 years for authors who died after 1971; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
This the second book in the "Hardy Boys" mystery series.

The house had been vacant and was supposed to be haunted. Mr. Hardy started to investigate - and disappeared! (Temporary - from old ad)

There is a limit on claims of 3 chapters per reader, to give everyone a chance.
If the book is not fully claimed after two weeks, you may claim more.

Reminder, please read only from the text link. Do not read from a hard copy - there is a later revised edition that is still under copyright!

Hi,

Welcome to LibriVox! I've assigned you Chapter 25. Please read the first post of this thread carefully.

Please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. It can be your real name, forum name or a pseudonym ~ whatever you prefer.

Also, since this is your first recording, we ask that you send in a 1-minute test recording. This is not an audition, it's just to make sure the sound quality and the recording settings are all right - often things can be improved at the outset that are difficult to fix later. Please go to https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test to find out what to record for your 1-minute test, and how to upload the recording. In the LibriVox Uploader, please select 'tests - tests' from the MC drop-down, and then post your test recording in the "Post Your 1-Minute Test Recording Here" forum, rather than in this thread - you'll get feedback more quickly there.

Thanks, and have fun!

Hi Natasha,

You need to post the link that the uploader gave you in a new thread here: viewforum.php?f=21
Then someone will check if for you! :-)
