The Best Short Stories of 1917, by Various

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page here:

https://librivox.org/the-best-short-stories-of-1917-by-various/

I deny that the American short story is at a low ebb, and I offer the present volume as a revelation of the best that is now being done in this field. I agree with Mrs. Colum that the best stories are only to be found after a laborious dusty search, but this is the proof rather than the refutation of my position.[excerpt from Introduction] (Summary by Edward J. O'Brien, Editor)

hello,

just wanted to bring your attention to the mismatch in the subject line of the thread and the thread page. I see 1817 and 1917 both.

Would like to claim for 'The cub of tea' which I am assuming is Section 3 from THE BEST SHORT STORIES OF 1917.

Thanks,
Nidhi

Hi! Thank you so much for this. Oh boy some many instances to correct. May I enlist your aid to make sure I got them all? Of course, Section 3 is yours

Hi Jo, Can you change the thread title to 1917 and remove the "(American Authors)"?
Thanks

Hi Anne! Welcome to this project! I just need to know what you would like your catalogue name to be. It can be anything. After you answer, I will assign this to you in the MW. Please make sure to follow all the instructions on page one of this thread. You can download the checker app from the following url: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/ so that you can check your own specifications before uploading your finished section. If you have any questions as you proceed, feel free to post here and I will respond.
Have fun!

Thank you! Anything for my name? I suppose I will go with Anne0205, unless that is taken already. This is my first project and I'm really excited to tackle it!

Hello,

I would like to claim #11 A Jury of her Peers by Susan Glaspell Please :)

Also quick question, on the file name do you want us to put the authors name in the place of "various" after the section number?

Thanks,
-Sarah
