Paolo and Francesca, by Stephen Phillips (1864 - 1915)
The tragic and adulterous story of Paolo and Francesca was originally immortalized by Dante in his "Divine Comedy". Since then, their story has been retold by many artists and writers. Here we have a play written by the poet Stephen Phillips who brings to life this thirteenth century love story with moving verse that is as beautiful as it is tragic. (Summary by Jenn Broda)
This project is complete. All audio files may be found on our Librivox catalog page at https://librivox.org/paolo-and-francesca-by-stephen-phillips/

Roles are gender neutral. Readers may choose to do multiple roles as long as they do not appear in the same act (except for Stage Directions, Giovanni, Paolo, Francesca, Lucrezia, and Nita).

I came across this play in a book I am reading and though I lean towards BCing comedies, this one called to me!

I will be voicing Francesca and PLing parts. As we get closer to finishing I will look for someone to PL the finished acts.

I haven't had the chance to be a tyrant recently, so please let me do Giovanni.
