Finishing a book on cults at the moment. It is interesting how the cult leaders behave much in the same way as the predators in this book. The prey are usually young women who get sucked in to a supposedly better life.

The MW has this listed as "Vice Diseases," but the actual title in the text is "Venereal Diseases," which I have used in this recording. Let me know if you want it changed.

I'm a little surprised by the omission of chlamydia from this list as it is much more common. And the viral STDs were not yet diagnosed as such. With my health background, I've done a lot of testing and treatment. And, in another country I saw a lot of tertiary syphilis -- not a pretty disease. It is reported the this was the demise of King Henry VIII. Oh, and I must say that the author is totally wrong about circumcision as preventative of this disease.

Wow! You did a great job on chapter 27. I'm impressed. There is so much repetition in there. Were you muttering some of the lines in your sleep?

The only edit is at the very beginning of parts 2 & 3. I hear "part 1"
