Internet Archive has launched a new goal to cache all the government reports it can lay its hands on -- a treasure trove of things to record, I am sure.

The article begins:
"Democracies require an educated citizenry to flourish– and because of this, Democratic governments, at all levels, spend billions of dollars publishing reports, manuals, books, videos so that all can read and learn. That is the good news. The bad news is that in our digital age, much of this is not accessible. Democracy’s Library aims to change this."

There is no end to material for us to record.

Not all government works are public domain / without copyright. For example, Canada's federal documents are protected by Crown copyright. I think US state documents are dependent on the state's laws. So we'd have to do a lot of checking to be sure whatever texts proposed are truly out of copyright.

Brazillian law and government acts are all in public domain according our Constitution.
Would those be LibriVox recordable, then?

Are international treaties submitted by the United Nations in the public domain? (Like the Universal Human Rights Declaration)
