Children's Book of Patriotic Stories, by Helen M. Winslow Dickinson(1851 - 1938) and Asa Don Dickinson (1876 - 1960)

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/childrens-book-of-patriotic-stories-by-helen-m-winslow/

Volunteers outside the USA: Asa Don Dickinson died in 1960. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 50 years; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
Here is a book of Patriotic Stories for children, to stand beside the similar collections of Christmas Stories and Thanksgiving Stories, which have already been welcomed by many parents, librarians, and teachers. Those seeking material appropriate to Washington’s Birthday and the Fourth of July will find here a goodly store, ready to their hands.
The Editors hope that a book of stirring tales like these—not history, but stories such as children love, that yet ring true in spirit—will serve to help, though ever so little, the Cause of Liberty and will aid in keeping aglow in the hearts of our young people the ardent spark which inspired our forefathers—the Spirit of ’76. (Summary from The Preface)

Do you prefer using the term "section" rather than "chapter" in the intro?

Either will work... I prefer section if the sections don't align with the chapter numbers.
