Why isn’t there a “Sleuths Needed” thread?

Non-reading activities need your help too!

I’ve found myself doing some sleuthing for other Librivoxers over the last couple of days. I know we do some of that when we’re at the Book Suggestions stage, but why isn’t there a “Sleuths Needed” thread for sticky situations once you get into recording? (Or even just as you’re looking—I suppose it would still fine to post there for projects under consideration as well.)

I’m enjoying this task, but I’m mostly stumbling across it, so thought I’d just ask.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Well, I thought of it as a suggestion.

And I have great respect for all the long-term volunteers, so I was also confused and wondering if there was a reason there WASN’T one. :hmm:

Because nobody has set up a thread like this? :P

People do ask occasionally in the book suggestions; probably a dedicated thread would get pretty unwieldy over time?

And once you're recording, such questions are usually dealt with in the individual project thread.

I wondered if that was the case (it getting unwieldy). Actually, I was wondering if it could work like the proof-listeners needed thread or something--that way it would link back to the actual thread, and the answers/discussion could be kept neat and tidy in the individual threads.

I am seeing them inside the individual threads, but unless I'm reading ALL the threads (which, um...I'm not, but I'm reading a lot of really random ones), there's no central place to see if there's a book that's being tricky to locate (or pages to locate).

Oh, well. It was just an idea.

Thanks,
Stephanie
