Hi. June 25 is our target date for completion of this collection. I have received no reply from John Parra Suan via PM, and Ms Muse is planning her two last sections for soon.

Please post here if either of you will be able to complete your section(s) in the next week.

Thank you
Czandra

May I have section 3?

Do we read the footnote? :)

Thank you, Tricia. No, please do not read the footnote. It gives a helpful hint about pronunciation, though.

Ha! I saw the message about the footnotes as I was working on the poem.

I followed the note on pronunciation of Mackinac in the subhead, but for Michillimackinac used the K sound at the end to rhyme with "a giant turtle's back."

She said she'd be busy for a couple weeks. I see 21 was claimed May 9, so she has until July 9 for that one.

Bravo, Ms Muse. I'm so glad I asked you to do this massive encore! You did a fine job. There's one tiny change you could make, where a slight change of meaning occurs when you read "to the bank and boat" instead of "to the bank her boat" at 17:18.

Let me know if you plan to make this change, and then the book will be complete!

Thank you so much, Czandra! I made the requested change (and fixed my pronunciation of "toward" -- yikes!). I'm glad this was my first project on Librivox! :D

Here is the adjusted title and summary, below. I'm not seeing the key-words on the first page?

Echoes of the forest, by William Edgar Brown (Nwah-ke-nah-go-zid, 1866-1929)

Twenty-six stories of first nations' origin rendered in English in verse. These "help us to understand that the white man and red man are brothers," as claimed in the book's dedication, but their content and tone are distinctly indigenous. An extensive bibliography provides the sources for the stories. (Summary by Czandra)
