I know you said pre-claiming necessary but could I check anyway? (I’m a bit new to this!)
Would Chesterton’s “absence of Mr Glass” fit with the spirit of this collection?

Many thanks

I would need to see the text; it also depends where you are located.

But once this collection closes, another will follow soon after, so don’t worry about rushing for the final spots.

Glad I checked, then :-)
I’m in UK and this is the Gutenberg text I was thinking of: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/223

Thanks again

That should be fine. It needs to have been published 1926 or before (and Gutenberg is good at checking whether it is PD in the US). In the UK, you are also restricted to authors/translators who died more than 70 years ago. Chesterton died in 1936, so you’re safe.

Could I read The Cornish Mystery by Agatha Christie? It's 1923 a physical copy (I can edit out page turns etc).

I'm sorry, but we can't read Christie. Unfortunately, there has been a legal dispute with her estate. Although we believe we would win a court case, we don't have lawyers, so can't defend one, and, in any case, our goal is not to upset families.

Hi,

I am a newbie to audiobook narration & Librivox.

I just saw the short mystery & suspense collection. I am interested to submit a recording. Is there any link to the open source books from where I can choose a book? Or any book of Sherlock Holmes is accepted?

Kindly advise :)
