Please reduce the beginning silence to .5 - 1 second (it is currently 5 seconds)
~0:20 please repeat the name of the story.
~12:10 please end with "end of A Tell Tale Heart" and 5 seconds of silence. No need to repeat the author's name or the date.
Will do this evening. Everything else was ok?
Yes, the reading was great... just a couple of matters of formatting.

Hi and welcome to Librivox!
There are a few things to do before you get started.
You will need to complete a one minute test - this is to check your specs are up to Librivox standards, and if not, you'll be given hints on how to remedy that. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Please post your test in the Listeners Wanted forum (see the dropdown at the bottom of the page) for the speediest response. Waiting for the OK may seem tedious, but can save time in the long run.

As for the story you propose, I cannot give an answer without a link to the text. It must have been published 1926 or earlier (later editions of the same story would not be permitted). In addition, if you are located outside the US, you would need to obey your country’s copyright laws (most depend on the author’s date of death).
The most reliable source is projectguenberg.org as they have their own legal experts who can check copyright status in the US. There are other sources we trust but also some we do not.

Thank you for the help! I posted my test, and I don't mind waiting patiently. While I'm still working on my computer, I'll share the chapter link: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/1661/1661-h/1661-h.htm#chap08
but it's chapter IX.

That should be fine, but I strongly recommend waiting for the ok on your test. It would be frustrating to record this (and most stories are close to an hour long when edited… so assume at least 4 hours’ work) then find you need to tweak a setting and re-record
