'Daisy', originally published in 1868(?) under the under the pseudonym of "Elizabeth Wetherell", this is the first book in the 'Daisy' series written by Susan Warner.
Set in the Antebellum South, Daisy, a Christian teenager, struggles to deal with the horrific culture of slavery in America. Comparable to "Uncle Tom's Cabin", Susan Warner's books present a contemporary look at the horrific lives of plantation slaves.
