Hi Sonia,

Sections 5, 7 and 8 are ready for PL. There is absolutely no rush on these whatsoever. This project is moving slowly, especially with the holiday season, so it'll still be here into the new year if that's better for you! In the meantime, have a good holiday period, whatever you're doing.

no worries, I try not to let my PL jobs pile up too much or too long. And short poems like these can always be PL in between other things. Also you make my job very easy by your level of accuracy. :9: 3 beautifully narrated poems and totally PL ok. Thanks

And wishing you nice festive days as well.

Thank you, that's a nice thing to say! I figure that the most respectful thing I can do for the DPL who is giving me their time is not to waste that time, so I should upload okay files. But it does tend to mean I'm slow and have to rerecord a higher number of poems than I'd like.

I see we are thinking exactly the same way :9: I also try to upload the best I can. But errors can always happen, that's why it's important to have a second pair of ears. It's sometimes hard to find your own mistakes. :?

all sections PL ok  hauntingly beautiful, especially the rather tragic song of the river :( Wonderfully narrated, thank you, Erin. I'm really enjoying these poems.

I hope you have a good start in the new week

I'm glad you're enjoying them! I hope that means some listeners out in the wide world will eventually, too. She still has some fans, I think, but isn't really that widely known.

Five more sections are ready for PL:

loved the lute player, it would have been excellent turned into a song as well. :9: All poems wonderfully narrated again and PL ok.

I did not know this poem before, but it's definitely a revelation. That's what I love about LV, every day we learn something new.

Thanks

Hi Sonia,

Four more poems are ready for PL. I'm glad you're enjoying the poems! The themes of love and desire never go out of fashion, but I think at least some people who like Laurence Hope are also attracted by her biography. It's kind of cool that you didn't have that in the background and just came to her through her poetry!

well I have no idea about her biography, but I can enjoy the poems :) sometimes it's even better not to know any background and let the poems speak for themselves.

The next batch of 4 poems is PL ok. Thanks

Very quickly checking in on this project - I've caught COVID. I'll be fine, but my editing will be even slower than usual!

Thank you for asking! I'm fine PLing and have done test recordings with some of the weekly poetry projects, but Covid has been lingering a bit in my throat and chest. I *think* it's started clearing gradually, but I am trying to rein in my impatience and move more slowly than I'd like to because I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'll be away from my desk for several days in early May, but I am hoping (honestly, fingers, toes and everything all crossed because I really miss recording!) later next month to take baby steps back into this solo.

Your signature says you'll be out of office for a few days as well. I hope it's good, whatever it is!
