Hi Fellow Readers -

My forum user name is TrayClay. I've wanted to do narrating for a while but found that a lot of the narrators that I was in competition with are actors and professional readers who have had lots of training and experience. LibriVox seems to be a way for me to get some experience while also helping to create audio books for those that prefer to listen to their favorite books.

I’ve been in marketing for many years and at times I was asked to do voice-overs for client projects and that’s how I got the idea that narrating might be something that I would enjoy.

I found out about LibriVox through my husband who listens to LibriVox books.

I am very excited to get started as a volunteer reader.

Hello, and welcome. I hope you can find the practice you are looking for here. I know we have many volunteers who use this to gain experience before attempting to record professionally. Before beginning, please do your 1-minute test. This is not an audition, but merely to ensure your tech specs are correct. Then you can start getting that valuable experience in.
