I think this would work well in the outro to our recordings (slightly changed from the original):

“For him that [distributeth this audiobook for profit, or alter the narrator's name therein], let [his device] change into a serpent in his hand & rend him. Let him be struck with palsy & all his members blasted. Let him languish in pain crying aloud for mercy, & let there be no surcease to his agony till he sing in dissolution. Let bookworms gnaw his entrails in token of the Worm that dieth not, & when at last he goeth to his final punishment, let the flames of Hell consume him for ever.”

What do you think? :lol:

I support this proposal! How soon can we integrate it into the new project templates?

For the current Australian Poetry projects, I would recommend the archetypal Australian curse which was always:

“May all your chooks* turn into emus and kick your dunny** down!”

* chickens
** outhouse privy

:thumbs: Seems a bit lengthy for the intro.

On further thought... can we have this as a subliminal message every 5 minutes? :mrgreen:

I figured it would go in the very last outro at the end of the book, right after "End of [book] by [author]".

But, subliminal messaging sounds even better! 8-)

I think we need to first work out who is going to be the Voice of Subliminal Librivox.

(They'd have to promise not to go all "Second Foundation" on us.)

Chris

P.S. I know who gets my vote, but I presume this will be a secret ballot.

I like this, and I strongly dislike the people who steal our work, but.... isn’t this curse just a little violent? :lol: :lol: Or am I the only person who’s a pacifist over here? :lol:

Yep, it is.

The article it was taken from is interesting. Think of all the time it took to hand copy a book, before the printing press, and how gut-wrenching it would be to have all that work wasted by someone damaging or destroying the book! :shock:
