Thanks, Twinkle. I’ll amplify/re-record chp 9’s voice credit.

Thank you! (Remember for the future that LibriVox file names should only have lowercase letters. :) )

MaryAnn,

I keep forgetting to ask -- could you set the Magic Window to start at "00" when you get a chance?

Hi guys, I’m just wondering: what do I do with quotes that are not officially dialogue, like ‘They were afraid the little thing would “Lie awake and brood over it”, as...” Do I read them or leave them for the characters?

Hey!

I'm don't know if I'm quite sure what you mean about quotes that are not officially dialogue. If you're referring to the line on page 5 of Chapter 1:
...she was afraid the sensitive, nervous little thing would
Frances: "lie awake and brood over it."
Narrator: This was the phrase she always used...
Then, yes, you would leave a 3-5 second pause in lieu of the "lie awake and brood over it" part -- it's an official line of dialogue because it's colored and labeled for Frances to say.

I'm wondering, are you reading from the Gutenberg text, linked near the top of the first post?
If that's the case, everyone including the narrator should be reading from the chapter text links found in the Magic Window, i.e., the text link for Chapter 1 is located in Section 35.

Oh. Thank you. I had missed that, though it should have been obvious. (This is my first dramatic reading.)
Back from a low-internet no-Librivox year in Georgia. Glad to be with you again.

Hi Twinkle,
I know I'm a little late joining the project, so it's slim pickings, but I'd still like to help. I'd like to take on the Gray Haired Woman in Ch 10 (since I'm beginning to assume that role anyway... ), and maybe Eliza in Ch 8,9 (to try to bring out the little girl in me!) Unless, of course, you have actual children to take that part. And perhaps Voice 1 or 2 in Ch 1. Since they are all very short, I can do any or all.
Thanks,
Laura
