Hi Jem, welcome to librivox. 
There's. a few things to fix before you're ready to record. You didn't say what software you used to i will just give instructions for audacity
The bit rate should be 128 kbps. When you export, change 'quality' to 128 kbps
The recording should use a constant bit rate. When you export, change 'bit rate mode' to 'constant'
The volume is too high at 94.4 dB. We aim for 86 - 92dB. You might want to turn your recording volume down a little. Also you will find the option to amplify under effects. This can be used to adjust volume. If you like you can install the checker tool to check your volume https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/
There is a lot of background noise which needs to be removed. If you had any unnecessary electrical items such as fans turn on you will want to turn those off (of course not much we can do about computer fans). Audacity also has a noise reduction feature.
