thank you, Jim, another fine biography I didn't know much about. And yes, a sad life when you struggle with ill health He should have stayed more with his family.neecheelok70 wrote: ↑March 29th, 2022, 8:04 amHere is Chapter 8:

I have a few small notes for you:
> at 1:22: repeat, can be cut once: wonder children need not be born such
> at 9:42: "Kampf und Sieg" – I know you want me to point out pronunciation errors, so here is one: "Sieg" is pronounced something like "zeeg", like in the English word "zealot"
> at 16:43: "Kärthnertor" – yes that was tricky, because it's such a long word, but it's easier to pronounce when you see it in syllables: "kernt-ner-tor" it's the "Tor" (portal) of "Kärnten" (Carinthia, a region in Austria)
> at 20:26: between "at home" and "end of chapter 8" – maybe the pause could be shortened a bit, at least to under 2 seconds, it feels a bit long
thanks

thank you, Jennifer. Another two wonderful and flawlessly PL ok narrations. Couldn't really stand Wagner's constantly-in-debt lifestyle I'm not sure I would have liked the man.
But their biographies where interesting. Thanks

oh he was Belgian, I didn't know that. Another interesting biography, and he seemed a nice guy for once.GregGiordano wrote: ↑April 1st, 2022, 6:49 pmHere is Chapter 17 - Cesar Franck -

Very well narrated again, Greg, thank you so much. It was a treat.
Only one small correction, if you wouldn't mind:
> at 3:19: "as Madame Pauline Viardot Garcia" - you say "mademoiselle", but "Mme" is the abbreviation of "Madame" (she was married by that time)
thanks

Thank you for the kind words! Oh, I agree, he genuinely seemed like a nice person (more so than some of the other composers I have read about in this project).
Take care,
Greg
