Here's Section 6 - (Ch.4 - Cause of Accident, pt 3)
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/challengeraccident_06_commission_128kb.mp3
(length 39:48)

At the bottom of PDF page 76, (text page 71), there seemed to be two lines of text appearing in the wrong place. They were interpolated into a sentence at the bottom of the first column, where they made no sense. But if moved to the bottom of the second column, and inserted into a different sentence over there which seemed to be missing something, then both sentences made sense. So I took it upon myself to move the two misplaced lines when I read the section. If I should not have done this, let me know, and I'll cut and paste them back where I found them. To make it easier to see what I did, I will quote the sentences in question here.

Bottom of first column, with interpolated lines in bold -
The lack of roundness of the
segments was such that the smallest tang-to-clevis
clearance occurred at the initiation of the

assembly operation at positions of 120 degrees
and 300 degrees around the circumference of the
aft field joint.
Bottom of second column, with added lines in bold -
A warm O-ring that has been

compression is relieved. Thus, a warm O-ring
will follow the opening of the tang-to-clevis gap.
A cold O-ring may not.

This is all tragically ironic.

Section 6:
38:31 - "The rust colored line more or less parallel to the stubs" - I hear "parable" - your choice if you want to fix it, it goes by so fast. :)

By the time I got to that point, I was tripping over my tongue in every sentence! "Thrust structure", "flight phase", and "fuselage shell" already had taken multiple attempts, shpluttering like crazy -- so I'm not surprised that "parallel" somehow became "parable"!

Here's the corrected file - (same length)

Hi, TriciaG. Section 14, 36:09,

Here's chapter 2, with a runtime of 30:42

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/challengeraccident_02_commission_128kb.mp3

Very interesting! I had no idea there was so much preparation needed beforehand.

Just a heads-up: I'll try to get it in before the deadline, but I might need a bit more time for chapter 1.
Cheers, Ava.
