The ZOOM announcement thread (this one) has been unlocked. This means that if you develop a ZOOM session that might be of interest to LibriVox people like styles of proof listening, microphone characteristics, finding public domain books or doing character voices in recording, you may post the announcement in this thread. Please only post 1) announcements of upcoming sessions in this thread and 2) Links to video recordings of those sessions if you do record them. Everything else should go into the ZOOM discussion thread lower in this forum. Have fun.

YES IT'S TRUE! This Monday, May 2nd there will be the monthly LibriVox ZOOM beginners sessoions. At 11 am and 11 pm central time so jump on in and chat with fellow LibriVoxers. Ask questions, share bewilderment, rejoice in your accomplishments ... whatever.

I should note that this monthly scheduled session is the fifth of six that I committed to having last year as a trial. Meaning that only two more sessions will be held; the one in May and the one in June 2022. After that there probably won't be any more regularly occurring zoom sessions, at least not hosted by me. It's been fun but I'm going to pull the plug on this experiment.

If we have extra time, w e can also cover favorite genres, books you look forward to hearing, favorite authors, etc. We'll try to steer away from "favorite LV readers", however.

Subscribe to this thread to receive announcements, yes. But we are only supposed to post in the Discussion Thread, where I also post announcements. Subscribe both places to get the notice, post only to the latter. Short story is that since I'm not an MC, Phil unlocked this thread just so I could post announcements where they could be found without much clutter.
