Hi Alisha! Welcome to Librivox!

The sound is good, but we need to fix a few of the tech specs.

Mono track: Go to menu Edit -> Preferences, Devices, Recording Channels, make sure "1 (Mono)" is selected. Click OK to save and close the window.

Make a new test recording. Then, when you go to export as mp3, check the format options in the Export Window, and choose "Constant" for Bit Rate Mode, "128 kbps" for Quality, and tick "Force export to mono". Then click Save to export and Audacity should keep these settings for all future exports.

Then upload this newly exported file and post the link here, to check again :D Thanks!

Thank you for the test, Alisha! :D

A few technical settings to fix:
- the test is stereo and needs to be mono
- the volume is a bit soft. Please amplify by 4 or so.
- the bit rate needs to be 128kbps and constant.

I don't know what editing program you're using, but please let me know if you are using Audacity and would like some more detailed step-by-step instructions for how to edit the above.

Please have a go at editing, upload and post again in this thread so we can listen again. You're doing well!
