Credited as LS Kim please!silverquill wrote: ↑July 29th, 2020, 9:47 pmWell, a request for 25 came in just ahead of you, but 59 is still open, so I will save it for you.
Before I can officially assign it, I need to know how you would like to be listed in the LivriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or any nickname you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work.

Thank you for your interest.
I will save this section for you, but we do request all new readers first to complete a short test recording.
I strongly suggest that you read our Newbie Guide to Recording: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording
This has a lot of important information that will get you off to a good start.
The second section has the information you need for recording and submitting that preliminary recording.
One you have the official "OK" on that, post again here and let me know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname.
Let me know if you have any questions. We are here to help.

Great!
You have Section 59 to read.
Just click on your name in the MagicWindow to view your personal catalog page. This is where you can track all of your LibriVox projects, of which I hope there will be many.
WELCOME TO LIBRIVOX

Hi! Thanks so much for following up. Section 4 has only 3 seconds of silence at the end now. If you look at the Audacity window, there is a dropdown menu at the lower right corner of the screen (down below the waveform). Choose "Length and End of Selection" and you will be able to highlight the silence and see how long it is. Here is a screenshot so you can see what I am talking about (look for the black arrow): https://ibb.co/pXgXsDJ (This is not your recording - it's an image I took for someone else earlier today. Your recording will look similar except the 11 seconds at the bottom of the screen will be replaced with 3 seconds.)dhandiR wrote: ↑July 28th, 2020, 3:40 pmThanks! Here's the new version of 04, Thurifer (0:22)cadastra wrote: ↑July 27th, 2020, 7:54 pm PL OK: 1, 2, 16, 20 (incorrect link to file in MW - fixed), 31, 35, 41, 53, 55, 60
Section 4 PL notes: Welcome to LibriVox! You are a great reader. The only issue is that there is too much silence at the end of the file (6+ seconds). We aim for 5 seconds of silence at the end of every file. Please re-upload and post in this thread when the file is ready for spot PL. Thanks!

Let me know if there's anything else I need to fix!
PL OK: 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 22, 25, 26, 27, 29, 34, 39, 47, 49
Section 10 PL notes: Your recordings are not only good... they are excellent! You sound like a professional narrator! The only issue is that the recording should have 5 full seconds of silence at the end. Currently, there is less than that (around 3 seconds). Please edit and re-upload. Post in this thread when the file is ready for spot PL. Thanks!dhandiR wrote: ↑July 27th, 2020, 11:58 am Here's No.10 Sleep Song (0:42) : https://librivox.org/uploads/aradlaw/summeroflove_10_kilmer_128kb.mp3

Well, I see this is NOT about the Summer of '67, but sign me up anyway if anything now promised or assigned falls through.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thanks.
I remember it well. A group of us drove down to San Francisco for spring break that year, and Haight-Ashbury was in all its glory. How quickly the the love faded and the psychedelic haze evaporated.
Oh, yes, I will keep you in mind if the saved sections aren't claimed or if there are orphan sections. Thanks.
